Huss and Dalton OM Cutaway: Port Orford Cedar x East Indian Rosewood

 

《結他士多》老板 Daniel 與 Huss and Dalton 合作的 OM 系列第三彈，結他木材選用了非常特別，外形酷似 Spruce 實際卻是 Cedar 的 Port Orford Cedar，一般只在頂尖手工琴或獨立製琴師出現，難得一見。

 

East Indian Rosewood，看似普通常見的木材，卻不等於其音色表現不及其他稀有木材。作為檀木屬的木材之一，East Indian Rosewood 同樣擁有音色反饋範圍大，音色細緻和溫暖等特色，在不少高階手工琴上都能見到其蹤影。

 

在手工結他的世界，OM 琴身配上 Cutaway 的設計相對較為罕見。原因是手工琴對製作工藝的要求更高，結他對設計改變造成的音色影響也更敏感，導致製作高水準的 OMC 的限制也更大。而 Huss and Dalton 正正是其中一間有能力製作精品 OMC 的精品結他廠。

 

－ Port Orford Cedar，美國扁柏，聲音特性介乎 Spruce 與 Cedar 之間，擁有比一般 Cedar 及 Spruce 更高的硬度、強度和韌性，音色既溫暖又飽滿，低音有力卻不會有太多的 Overtone。

 

－ East Indian Rosewood，東印度玫瑰木。目前最流行的高階結他背、側板木材之一。East Indian Rosewood 低音圓潤、高音細緻，同時有出色的顆粒感和動態反應，音色表現全面，亦深受一眾對結他音色要求高的 Fingerstyle 結他手喜愛。
